A few days before closing, we will contact the company handling the transaction to ensure everything is ready. Additionally, if you haven’t already, you need to arrange to move out so the new buyer can take possession.
STEP 8: CLOSE
You’re now at the final step of the selling process. Closing on your home involves legally transferring ownership to the new buyer. We will meet with the closing company to sign the final paperwork and address any unresolved issues. During this time, you can also coordinate with your real estate agent to manage final details, such as canceling utilities, cable, and lawn or trash services, changing the name on accounts the new owner will retain, and providing the new owner with instructions for all appliances that will remain in the home.
